When I heard that Patrick is celebrating his 25th anniversary in Henry Schein I couldn’t believe it … I thought we must have employed him while he was still at school!
Patrick started in Henry Schein as a Field Sales Consultant, assuming more responsibilities over the years within the company, until he was nominated Managing Director of the UK and Ireland in 2015. Today Patrick is managing a Region that includes, on top of the UK and Ireland, South Africa and our recent acquisition in the Nordics.
I have had the pleasure of collaborating and working with Patrick since I joined Henry Schein and I have always appreciated his determination and professionalism. As a leader Patrick is very driven, always people oriented and living the values of Henry Schein.
Thank you Patrick for being a true Henry Schein leader and I look forward to working with you for the next 25 years.

Dave lives ‘up north’ with his wife Vicky and is father to Adam, Richard and Amy, and the most doting grandfather to his two grandchildren who we would also like to thank for putting up with him being away from home so many times over the 15 years.

Rob celebrates 20 years with Henry Schein this year.
Although Rob has only worked with me for just over a year, Rob has proved himself to be both versatile and invaluable.
Rob is one of those characters who quietly sits in the background and gets on with whatever task is required of him.
Over the last two decades, Rob has been an intrinsic member of the Creative Team, and has worked on countless projects, adding considerable value to every project he has been involved with.
During that last 18 months, Rob has been part of the Digital Solutions team, and has really pushed himself to accept and accomplish many new challenges.
Rob is responsible for the creation of the TeamSchein site, he is rightly very proud of this creation. All the video content you see on this site, and on many other Henry Schein sites is also both filmed and edited by Rob.
I’d like to take this opportunity to thank Rob for all he has done for Henry Schein and look forward to continuing to work with him on future projects.
Well done Rob.

Chris began his career with Minerva Dental, 40 years ago on 17th September, 1979, working in a variety of roles from telesales, warehouse, customer service and laboratory sales. Chris quickly progressed to a Field Sales Consultant position where he established a successful territory in South Wales. Chris is a valued member of the South West Team and the impact during his time with HSD has been considerable to say the least. Chris’s knowledge on consumables and equipment is vast and if I had to pinpoint one standout achievement during his career it would be sales of Cerec units which are in excess of 35 full systems.
Thank you Chris for all your hard work and ongoing contribution……I look forward to the next 40 years!!
Tim joined Henry Schein in August 1989 as a service engineer, in the days where product support was possible by a payphone and communication from the office was on a pager.
Tim is a member of the service team and is responsible for installing, servicing and repairing dental equipment and is one of the few trained laser engineers.
Tim is known for his thorough fault finding and the ability to pass on his knowledge to new members of the team when needed, where part of the training involves carrying his toolbox in return for knowledge
Thank you Tim, for your hard work over the last 30 years…here’s to another 30 years!
Wow, Gary 40 years continued service at Henry Schein UK …that is phenomenal!
Gary joined the company at the Christchurch branch in 1979 and joined the Henry Schein family as part of the Minerva Dental acquisition in April 2008.
Gary started his days in the warehouse but quickly advanced to branch manager. In the acquisition Gary played an important role in integrating the two sales teams and went on to be the Regional Sales Manager of the South West.
He manages a sales team of 14 in the South West of England, who all think he is a fab manager and wouldn’t be without him. He also continues to gain great sales results year on year.
Gary also sits in the Henry Schein Management team, who love his hard work ethic and fantastic sense of humour, he never fails to make us laugh, and we don’t hold being a Manchester United fan against him.
Gary lives with his wife Maureen and daughter Harley, who we would also like to thank for putting up with him being away from home so many times over the 40 years.
Congratulations on 40 years with Henry Schein – love your Schein family.

In June 1994
A young lady called Jennifer Hill joined Optident as our first truly experienced secretary. Having worked in a large corporation and joining a family business bringing a world of experience. Jennifer not only brought corporate experience to Optident in relation to organisation, professionalism and patience. I can honestly say there are few people that I have met with such dedication and commitment.
Still today after working with Jennifer for 25 years she still has the same enthusiasm and commitment to the company which is a rare attribute.
A big thank you from all at Optident.
Jon joined Henry Schein in 2004 as a Customer Gatekeeper.
Jon took this role as a platform to understand the internal workings of Henry Schein and has never stopped absorbing knowledge of our often complex business.
Jon’s career has progressed from his role as a gatekeeper, through Bids & Tenders as a pricing analyst, on to Bids and Tenders Supervisor and to his current role as Manager or the Customer Pricing & Analysis Team.
In his current role Jon is responsible for our team of pricing analysts and the provision of pricing and reporting structures for our customer ranges across all brands.
Jon has developed into a key resource for the business, actively searching for solutions to combat any issues he or the wider sales teams stumble across.
Thanks to Jon for all his hard work over the last 15 years and for his dedication to Henry Schein Dental.
I remember Tony joined Henry Schein Dental from his days of being resident engineer at IDH / Whitecross Dental.
He first started his journey in the South East area based in Ilford and with his wealth of knowledge of dental treatment centres, suction systems, compressors and X-rays soon hit the ground running.
After a few years Tony decided to uproot and move to the Northampton area which was at the time a great advantage to Henry Schein due to the lack of cover within that region of the country.
Henry Schein then won a service contract at a medium sized corporate Dental group based around the Luton area which was quite a demanding and Tony took it upon himself and volunteered his services to be available for early morning cover in the eventuality of any emergencies that arose.
He became quite an expert on the equipment installed at this Dental group and soon become the first point of call.
I send Tony congratulations on achieving his long service award and look forward to the next milestone in his Henry Schein Dental career.

Debbie Olford is currently Equipment Team Leader at Gillingham. She has been in this role for two years now and has been instrumental in bringing the department to its current high standard.
Debbie has worked in the Print Room and in Bulk at Medcare North and when moving over to Medcare South she worked in Inventory Control & Replenishment prior to moving to the Equipment Team in 2017.
Managers at the most senior level of the Business recognise her for her reliability and good sense of judgement and her peers will tell you that she is a fair Team Leader who is always looking out for others.
Debbie is also very artistic and has been known to write poems for people to celebrate special occasions and with this in mind I’ve written the following poem as to celebrate Debbie’s 15 years (although I certainly don’t claim to be a poet!).
Debbie O – Equipment Team Lead
Is one of a special breed
She’s reliable, fair and caring to her peers
So congratulations Debbie on your fifteen years!

Mark joined Henry Schein Business Systems in 2004. He joined and a developer for our J.D.Edwards ERP system, but in the years since has become much more than that.
What singles him out from most IT developers is the capacity he has for solving the most technically challenging problems. When we need to stretch the boundaries of what JDE is capable of, he will often find a way to do just that. Have you ever wondered who wrote the wrist device applications that the pickers use in the warehouse? Mark designed developed most of this, ably assisted by Pablo Paunero. Have you ever wondered how the Knapp conveyor system in the warehouse talks to JDE, immediately, as events unfold on the belt? The same. Links to customers, to third parties, the Apple-based Orderpoint system, the links between Salesforce, Service Director and JDE, these things have been at the heart of what Mark is about. With a new set of Android devices being rolled out to the warehouse and apps being created for them, Mark continues to work with the team to find new ways to enable the business to do things, that our European colleagues can only dream of.
Developers are the unsung heroes of the business. They create solutions and work away in the background without seeking attention, and they certainly deserve more of it.
Thank you Mark, for the ideas and innovation you have brought over the 15 years you have been with us.
Andy has been a Field Sales Consultant with Henry Schein, previously Procare, and Baxter Dental for 30 years starting in 1989, having previously been in the hairdressing industry.
Now in the Midlands field sales team Andy is consistently one of our higher achievers, helping practices in and around the Birmingham and West Midlands area deliver excellent patient care.
Over the years Andy has built a formidable reputation for excellent customer service, and is seen by the profession as a trusted advisor, earning himself and HSD a very loyal following of practices.
Thank you Andy, for all your dedication and hard work as a field sales consultant for Henry Schein Dental.
Julie joined Kent Dental on the 17th April 1989
Julie is a member of the Goods Receiving team whose specific role is Supplier Non Conformance liaising with Inventory Management and sometimes suppliers using her vast experience to work out what can be some puzzling scenarios.
Here are some bullet points from your team.
Thank you Julie for all your hard work over the years and continued commitment.
Ian has this year completed 15 years Service with Henry Schein, he is the Manager of a small team of Business Analysts and Developers.
The team which Ian leads are responsible for developing and maintaining the internal systems upon which we rely to operate our business, the task of ensuring that systems are available every day, accurate and meet the needs of both the business and our customers requires quiet continuous work. Ian leads this team with expertise, authority and a calmness for which we are all grateful, his dedication and the high quality of his work provides us all with a foundation on which we have built a business with reputation for the best customer service.
Ian and his Team were responsible for the recovery of our core systems from the issues which we experienced when JDE was first introduced to the business and have continued to develop and refine the software as our business has grown and developed.
On top of all of the above Ian plays a mean guitar and his performance on a karaoke night in Dumfries is legendary.
On a personal note it has been a pleasure and a privilege to work with Ian and I look forward to tackling many more challenges in the future.

I remember when Donna started working in Medcare North 15 years ago, like it was 15 years ago.
We needed to breath a little life into IT Operations, so recruited Dons to work on the Helpdesk with a view to training our TSM’s as well as resolving daily issues.
Dons clearly did a fantastic job because not only has she worked on numerous projects, integrations and deployments, she is now responsible for IT administration for the UK and the shared European Infrastructure.
The latest successful challenge was to de-tangle dozens of locations, contracts and thousands of TSM’s as per of the Animal Health spin-off.
So from me personally it’s a really big thank you for all the effort and support Dons, and from Henry Schein it’s an even bigger thank you for getting so many finances and so many people in order – and keeping them that way!

Linda Mackenzie joined Henry Schein fifteen years ago on 22nd March 2004 as an Operations Assistant. She has worked in picking, packing and checking, where her attention to detail and getting things right meant that she was a natural fit for the Quality Team. When the Equipment Operation moved to Gillingham from Cardiff Linda played a pivotal role – especially in Equipment Returns. More recently Linda has been performing a Quality role in the Consumables Returns Team, dealing with credits, replacements and repairs from manufacturers and communicating with customers on quality issues.
Linda is a hard worker and a reliable TSM and is well known for talking to herself and sometimes even bursting into song. Congratulations Linda on achieving 15 years at Henry Schein and we thank you for your continued hard work.
The Operations Team
Julie has worked at Henry Schein for an amazing 25 years! She started her career in Operations and this is where she met her husband Ashley. After 10 years Julie moved into Customer Services which is where she has been ever since and we are so glad. Julie is a fount of knowledge and everyone’s go to person for advice, she’s always got time to explain or show you how to do something and all with a smile.
Julie’s role in Customer Services is speaking with our customers, always cheerful and chatty and is also our Recall and Adverse specialist. Julie has input into everything regulatory that comes through Customer Services and has helped us to pass numerous audits.
When she’s not at Henry Schein or looking after her twin daughters Julie has an allotment and is a very talented seamstress. In her spare time Julie is often helping a member of the team sort out a sewing crisis.
On behalf of Henry Schein and Customer Services I’d like to say a big thank you to Julie for her 25 years of valued service. Looking forward to working with you for many years to come.
